I'm not good at remembering names anymore

I’m not very good at remembering names anymore. Somewhere in 2009 we sat across the table from some Nasvhille guy. By we I mean my band, A Minor Bird. I’m about to text the guys to see if they remember his name. I remember the cold tile and warm ambiance of the diner. Anyway, I was sitting there trying to understand what this dude was talking about. I didn’t really know what to do when the “industry” took notice. I think he was trying to tell us how to succeed, but my eyes were glazing over. I started telling him my idealistic musical dreams and he said something like, “You have this naivety and it’s a good thing. Keep it.”

I don’t think I knew what he meant. Maybe he meant innocent. I don't think I'm either. His name was Van.
